Hello! A room has just opened up in my house for October 1. Please send me an email if you think you'd like living here!
We have 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and 1 available parking spot. We're located 2 blocks from Tillicum Mall, on bus routes 8, 11, 21, 22, 26, and close to the 50. The main floor of the house features high ceilings and hardwood floors, a nice big kitchen with a dishwasher, and a beautiful bathroom. We also have a huge deck and a wild yard (which is slowly becoming garden).
The available bedroom is in the basement. It's carpeted and cozy with only 6' ceilings, very bright as it has 2 windows, and also has a giant walk-in closet. You even have a separate entrance out the basement door! This room is directly below mine, so we'll have to contend with each other's noises. Unfurnished, $600/month, all inclusive (water, electricity, gas, internet), month-to-month preferred.
I'm a 27-year-old trans guy with multiple jobs and a love of music and gardening. I'm not particularly tidy but not a complete slob. I play clarinet, but other than that make fairly little noise. I grow and preserve a lot of my own food, so at certain times of year you'll find my harvest spread all over the house and hanging from the ceilings, but the trade-off is that there's always something to share! My current roommate is friendly and easygoing but not home much. I'm equally comfortable with everyone keeping to themselves or with a more communal housing arrangement, depending on the people involved.
My beloved cat recently passed away, so the house currently has no pets. I'm hoping to get another cat at some point but would also consider housing your pets.
You might be a good fit if you are: easygoing, tidy-ish but not too clean, quiet, queer/trans friendly, and skilled at polite, direct communication. Bonus points if you're good at fixing things (it's an old house) or interested in helping in the garden!
