No joke! We have a furnished room in a bright 3-bed home in Gorge Tillicum! The room is 8.5' x 11' and has a double bed with frame (2 large drawers that are used as a wardrobe), desk, and a hanging rack (no closet). The room has baseboard heating and gets plenty of light, perfect for plants!
The home has high ceilings and a relaxing living space with an island kitchen at its focal point. It's close to the Centennial library (great for studying), Colquitz Creek, and Gorge waterway. Two grocery stores are less than a kilometer away, as is the Galloping Goose. Busing can get you to UVic in 30 mins or downtown in 20. This location is great for someone relying on public transit or bike.
About us! You'll be sharing the space with two females and one male (Geography/Earth sciences student, water resources engineer, and semi-retired airline employee) and 2 cats named Scout and Raj (unfortunately we can't have any more pets).
My partner and I share 1 room, while my mom is in the other. We are a family and together are passionate about plants, community, and a healthy lifestyle. Everyone has a unique skillset, ranging from crochet aficionado to yoga instructor. Our love of music extends across many genres, settling primarily on hip hop and jazz. We enjoy climbing, canoeing, and anything mushrooms! We have a TV but it's almost always used for music rather than Netflix. We also have plenty of kitchen-y things for the aspiring cook.
