1995.5 First Gen Taco, standard cab with the bench seat. Perfect wheelbase for deactivated roads, great little truck for Island adventures.
The good:
- @255k: New timing chain, timing accessories, water pump, oil pump, new head, new pistons and rings, new clutch
- @262k: Bilstein shocks all around, upper and lower ball joints
- @272k: front bearings, inner tie rod ends, rack bushings, CV axles, brake calipers, pads, rotors, flex tube, full alignment
- LCE exhaust headers, new exhaust cat-back
- brand new 2 person roof top tent, only used once;
- Tool box is mint, hydraulics work perfectly
- BF Goodrich KO2's
- small LED bars up front
The bad:
- needs rear bearings soon, mechanic recommended, starting to hear them
- 1st gear synchro is worn
- crack in windshield (may have it replaced by the time you see the truck)
- loud exhaust (cat/header gasket needs replacing)
- uneven wear on rear K02's thanks to Canadian Tire alignment quality (when they were up front)
Major work was done at JB's machine shop and Victoria Front End and Frame, I'll bring out what paperwork I can find but the engine is orange with a dickbutt painted on top, they will definitely remember me if you need to call and verify.
Basically it's the perfect island truck with a TON of work and great new parts in it. Needs rear bearings at the same time I'm getting out of a truck and into an SUV for girlfriend reasons, so it's time for me to say goodbye. Willing to discuss selling tent separately, but would prefer package deal. Make me an offer!
